This Privacy Policy explains how 1HVE (“1HVE,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit 1hve.com or use our services. It applies to information handled through the website and family workspace.
Information you provide
- Account information: when you choose Google sign-in, Google provides basic account information such as your name, email address, and account identifier so we can authenticate you and maintain your account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Family and student records: information a parent enters, which may include student names, preferred names, grade labels, learning activities, planned calendar activities and dates, reading titles, notes, portfolio titles, and uploaded work samples.
- Messages to us: information you include if you contact support.
The optional getting-started guide saves its choices in your browser’s local storage on that device before sign-in. If you continue into a signed-in family workspace, the selected Florida education path, checklist progress, and any Home Education program/Letter of Intent dates you entered are saved to that family account so its timeline can be personalized. The guide does not ask for student names.
Google sign-in data
We use Google OAuth for sign-in and basic identity only. We use the Google account information returned during sign-in to authenticate you, associate your account with your family workspace, and display your name or email in the service. 1HVE does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or other Google content. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Google’s handling of your information is also governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in and your private family workspace.
- Save, display, and organize family records and work samples you choose to enter.
- Provide Florida-focused guidance, checklists, and related features you request.
- Respond to support requests, maintain the service, prevent abuse, and protect security.
- Let authorized 1HVE administrators review limited parent account details and aggregate signup/use counts to operate the service. The admin overview does not display student names or learning-entry content.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Where information is processed and service providers
1HVE runs on Cloudflare. Account and family records are stored using Cloudflare Workers and D1, and uploaded work samples are stored in Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare processes information to provide infrastructure, storage, and security services under its own terms and privacy disclosures. Google processes sign-in requests. Paid checkout is provided by Stripe; payment card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by 1HVE. We retain limited Stripe customer, subscription, and payment-status identifiers to manage access and billing. Features and providers may change, and we will update this policy when our data practices materially change.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information to providers acting for us, when you direct us to do so, when needed to protect users or the service, or when required by law.
Cookies and similar technologies
Sign-in uses cookies or similar browser storage to maintain your authenticated session and security. The onboarding guide uses local storage for its selections. Your browser settings can clear or block these technologies, though blocking sign-in cookies may prevent the workspace from working.
Children’s information and parent control
1HVE is intended for parents and guardians, not for children to create their own accounts. A parent or guardian is responsible for deciding whether to enter student information and for using the service in a way permitted by applicable law. Do not invite a child to sign in or submit information directly. If you believe a child has independently provided information to us, contact us so we can review it.
Retention and deletion requests
We keep account and family information while it is needed to provide the service and maintain your records. Uploaded work samples also receive a private recovery copy in a separate Cloudflare R2 bucket, scheduled to expire after 30 days. This is a short recovery window, not a permanent archive of your work. You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting zak.harris@gmail.com from the email associated with your account. We may ask you to verify the request. We will take reasonable steps to address it, subject to legal, security, and operational requirements. Copies may remain temporarily in backups or records we are required to retain.
Security
We use service-provider and technical measures intended to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your Google account and devices, sign out on shared devices, and avoid uploading information that is not needed for your homeschool records.
Your choices and updates
You can choose what family information to enter, clear onboarding selections from your browser, and ask us about account data using the contact above. We may update this policy as the product changes. We will post the current version here and revise the date at the top.
